The Senate convened at 10:00 A.M. and is expected the wrap up the week with passage of S.J.Res.18, disapproving the rule submitted by the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection relating to “Overdraft Lending: Very Large Financial Institutions.”  Following that, the Senate will vote on Confirmation of Executive Calendar #43, Paul Lawrence, to be Deputy Secretary of Veterans Affairs.

The House is wrapping up its work for the week this morning with votes on H.J. Res. 24 – Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Department of Energy relating to “Energy Conservation Program: Energy Conservation Standards for Walk-In Coolers and Walk-In Freezers.”  As well as H.J. Res. 75 – Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Department of Energy, relating to “Energy Conservation Program: Energy Conservation Standards for Commercial Refrigerators, Freezers, and Refrigerator-Freezers.”   The House is also expected to complete work on H.R. 1048 – DETERRENT Act.
