A busy day of hearings continues for President Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees in the Senate. Kash Patel, President Trump’s pick to lead the FBI began testifying before the Judiciary Committee at 9:30 A.M. Tulsi Gabbard, his choice for director of national intelligence, faces the Intelligence panel at 10:00 A.M., and also at 10:00 A.M. HHS Secretary nominee Robert F. Kennedy Jr. appears at the HELP Committee. At 12:00 P.M. the Budget Committee has a business meeting on the nomination of OMB Director-designate Russell Vought.
The Senate reconvened at 12:00 P.M. and is expected to take up confirmation of Executive Calendar #9 Douglas Burgum, of North Dakota, to be Secretary of the Interior
The House remains in recess and will reconvene on Tuesday, February 4th.
