The Senate reconvened at 10:00 A.M. and is expected to vote on confirmation of the nomination of Courtney Diesel O’Donnell to be United States Permanent Representative to the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization, with the rank of Ambassador as well as the nomination of Sanket Jayshukh Bulsara to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of New York and the nomination of Eric C. Schulte to be United States District Judge for the District of South Dakota.
The Senate may also take up S.J.Res.57, providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Department of the Treasury relating to “Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds.
The House convened at 12:00 P.M. for legislative business and is expected to consider H.R. 7343 – Detain and Deport Illegal Aliens Who Assault Cops Act, H.R. 7581 – Improving Law Enforcement Officer Safety and Wellness Through Data Act and H.R. 7530 – DC CRIMES Act of 2024. The House may also begin consideration of H. Res. 1210 – Condemning the Biden border crisis and the tremendous burdens law enforcement officers face as a result. The House still needs to process nine postponed suspensions as well as Senate Amendment to H.R. 3935 – FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024.
