The Senate on Thursday passed a bill to avert a government shutdown ahead of a Friday night deadline, sending the legislation to President Joe Biden’s desk for a signature.  Senators voted 65-27 on the bill, which funds the government through March 11 at current levels after passing the House last week.

The Senate now stands adjourned and will convene for pro forma sessions with no business conducted on the following dates and times: Friday, February 18th at 9:00 a.m.; Tuesday, February 22nd at 3:00 p.m.; and Friday, February 25th, at 2:00 p.m.  The Senate will next convene at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 28, 2022 and will resume consideration of the motion to proceed to Calendar #139, H.R.3755, Women’s Health Protection Act and will also likely continue work on H.R.3076, Postal Service Reform Act.

The House is now in recess until Monday, February 28th.
