Adam Olsen



Adam S. Olsen has served at the crossroads of politics, policy, and business development for almost twenty years. In that time, he has forged deep strategic relationships with key figures in both the public and private sectors, and on both sides of the political aisle. Mr. Olsen’s clients include large public companies, major investment funds, stakeholder coalitions, and trade associations that rely on him to represent their interests before the United States Senate, the United States House of Representatives, and the Administration in Washington, D.C. Mr. Olsen has a proven track record of solving his client’s toughest problems in Washington, D.C. on critical legislative and regulatory issues, helping to drive their businesses and build market share.

Mr. Olsen has been active for many years with Democratic congressional leaders as well as with many rank-and-file members in both the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate. Recent successes include client matters involving the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, the United States Department of the Treasury, the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, the House Energy and Commerce Committee, House and Senate leadership and the United States Department of Energy.

Mr. Olsen is the Founding Partner of Sconset Strategies, LLC, a firm that offers a wide range of Wall Street Washington intelligence and federal government relations services. Mr. Olsen founded Sconset Strategies, LLC in July 2011, taking the invaluable experience he gained while working at large lobbying firms and setting out to build a small, lean firm that offers quality high-impact services and long-term, tangible accomplishments for his clients. Working in partnership on multiple clients with top Republican firm, CGCN Group, Mr. Olsen provides seamless unparalleled bipartisan, bicameral coverage in Washington, D.C with a track record of both firms that is unmatched.

Before founding Sconset Strategies, LLC, Mr. Olsen worked from July 2007 through July 2011 as Managing Director of Integrated Solutions Group (ISG), a Washington, DC-based government relations firm that worked in partnership with Omnicom owned firms: The Washington Group and Clark & Weinstock (Now Mercury). During his tenure at ISG, Mr. Olsen catered to the government affairs needs of over 40 ISG, Washington Group, and Clark & Weinstock clients.

Mr. Olsen was Deputy National Finance Director for then House Democratic Leader Richard A. Gephardt from 1998-2004, spearheading the effort for Leader Gephardt to raise over $250 million for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and other political groups. Mr. Olsen served in the same role for Gephardt for President during the 2004 presidential campaign working with a team that raised a then record setting amount of money by building a coalition of labor, progressive groups, small donors and wealthy individuals. Following that, Mr. Olsen served as Chairman of New House PAC, a group that was indispensable in helping Democrats retake the House in 2006 and also worked for both the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and the Clinton Global Initiative.

Mr. Olsen graduated from The American University School of International Service in 1997. He is originally from Bergen County, NJ and resides in Washington, DC
