Adam S. Olsen
Adam S. Olsen has served at the crossroads of politics, policy, and business for over twenty years. In that time, he has forged deep strategic relationships with key figures in both the public and private sectors, and on both sides of the political aisle. Adam’s clients include large public companies, major investment funds, law firms, stakeholder coalitions, and trade associations, relying on him to represent their interests before the United States Senate, the United States House of Representatives, and the administration in Washington, D.C. Adam has a proven track record of solving his clients’ toughest problems on critical legislative and regulatory issues, helping to drive their businesses and build market share.
Adam is the founder of Sconset Strategies, a multidisciplinary federal government relations firm representing corporations and associations with matters before the Legislative and Executive branches of the federal government. Prior to starting Sconset Strategies in 2011, Adam worked from July 2007 through July 2011 as Managing Director of Integrated Solutions Group (ISG), a Washington, DC-based government relations firm that worked in partnership with Omnicom owned firms: The Washington Group and Clark & Weinstock which became Mercury Public Affairs. During his time in the advocacy community, Adam has successfully achieved policy changes in virtually every field of federal advocacy – most notably in energy policy and financial services.
Adam began his career as Deputy National Finance Director for then House Democratic Leader Richard A. Gephardt from 1998-2004, spearheading the effort for Leader Gephardt to raise over $250 million for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and other political groups. Adam served in the same role for Gephardt for President during the 2004 presidential campaign. Following that, Adam served as Chairman of New House PAC, a group that was indispensable in helping Democrats retake the House in 2006 and also worked for both the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and the Clinton Global Initiative.
Adam holds a Bachelor of Arts from The American University School of International Service.
